Full Moon

This is the Moon of Celebration

The Full moon is a lunar phase that occurs when the Moon is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun, and when the three celestial bodies are aligned as close as possible to straight line. At this time, as seen by viewers on Earth, the hemisphere of the Moon that is facing the Earth (the near side) is fully illuminated by the Sun and appears round. Only during a full moon is the opposite hemisphere of the Moon, which is not visible from Earth (the far side), completely unilluminated.

It is the time of the Mother Goddess. She who is known by the names Isis, Demeter, Freya, Danu, Luna, Anu, Hera and many, many more. The most beautiful and radiant Mother, Our  Lady Moon

The Full Moon is a very intuitive and productive time. Most espsepically for fertility; magick, prophetic dreaming and productive meditation.  Love and matters of the homeand hearth including prosperity are the focus of workings at this time.  Creativity and psychic abilities are heightened and feelings are intense. The Full moon is not a good time for major decisions as they will be colored with emotional responses. Do not seek medical treatment, inoculations, or operations at this time as wounds bleed more, and the formation of scar tissue is more pronounced.

Major workings should occur now. This is the apex of the moon’s power and relates to the growing plant as it pierces the ground.

An easy way to recall waxing or waning:

The waxing Moon takes the place of a "D" , it is developing to its fullness. The waning Moon is "C", which is condensing and contracting or getting smaller
